Droitwich pair qualify for Australian Spoons national final

Droitwich Golf Club will be represented in the national final of the Australian Spoons competition for the second year in a row, thanks to members Fiona Whittock and Tracey Ward.
They won the Midlands South regional final at Gerrards Cross to follow in the footsteps of club colleagues, Julia Kyte and Pauline Welvaert.
The Australian Spoons stableford foursomes competition is contested by players with handicaps 21-36. Fiona and Tracey will challenge five other pairs of regional winners at the grand final at Kedleston Park Golf Club, Derbyshire, on Friday, 17 September.
The regional final was contested by winning pairs from clubs in six counties: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire & Herefordshire.
