Georgia and Brontė selected for European Young Masters

05 July 2010

Teenagers Georgia Hall and Brontë Law will represent the English Women’s Golf Association at the European Young Masters.

The 54-hole competition takes place at the Royal Balaton Golf and Yacht Club in Hungary from 22-24 July.

Georgia Hall, 14, from Ferndown, Dorset, is the English U13 girls’ champion and the reserve for the England team for the Girls’ Home Internationals. She won the U14 trophy at the Scottish U16 open strokeplay championship and was in England’s winning Nations Cup team at the event.

She reached matchplay stages of this season’s English and British amateur championships and is a member of Dorset team which has qualified for finals of English Counties’ Championship.

Brontë Law, 15, from Bramhall, Cheshire, is the English U18 strokeplay champion and will represent England in the Girls’ Home Internationals. Last season she also won the North of England U16 championship – in which she beat a mixed field – the North of England schools’ championship, the Northern girls’ championship and the Cheshire girls’ title.

This season she has successfully defended the Andalucia Junior European Open girls' title, winning by a impressive 10-shot margin at Finca Cortesin, Spain.

Both players are members of the English Women’s Golf Association U18 squad.
